Welcome to ProCam: Andrew Cromie joins as Head of Crop Nutrition
We’re delighted to welcome Andrew Cromie to ProCam as our new Head of Crop Nutrition, further strengthening the technical expertise that supports our agronomists and the farmers we work alongside every day.
Andrew brings together a unique combination of practical agronomy experience and specialist knowledge of crop nutrition, biostimulants and biological products, making him ideally placed to lead the continued development of our crop nutrition offering.
After spending eight years as an agronomist working directly with farmers and growers, Andrew moved into the bioscience sector, where he spent the last four years helping develop innovative nutrition and biological solutions for agriculture.
That blend of practical, on-farm understanding and technical expertise is a perfect fit for ProCam’s commitment to delivering advice that’s rooted in science, proven in the field and focused on helping growers achieve the best possible results.
Supporting growers through changing times
There’s never been a more important time to get crop nutrition right.
With increasing pressure on margins, changing regulations and more challenging weather patterns, growers need nutrition programmes that not only maximise crop performance but also make every input count.
“Nutrition has a huge role to play in helping growers produce profitable, resilient crops,” says Andrew. “UK agriculture is at a real turning point, where input efficiency, soil health and return on investment have never been more important.”
As Head of Crop Nutrition, Andrew will work closely with our nationwide team of agronomists, as well as our trusted supplier partners, ensuring our recommendations continue to be backed by the latest science, extensive field experience and robust technical evidence.
Turning technical knowledge into practical advice
One of Andrew’s key priorities is ensuring our agronomists have access to the very latest research, product knowledge and trial data, enabling them to provide confident, evidence-based recommendations tailored to each farming business.
“ProCam already has an excellent crop nutrition portfolio,” Andrew explains. “I’m looking forward to building on those strong foundations and ensuring our agronomists have all the technical insight they need to help growers respond to changing regulations, increasingly variable weather and the ongoing challenge of improving returns from every hectare.”
For Andrew, the opportunity to join ProCam was one he was excited to take.
“It’s an incredibly exciting time to be joining the business. ProCam has an outstanding reputation for putting agronomy first, backed by strong technical expertise and a genuine commitment to supporting growers. Agriculture is evolving quickly, whether that’s global volatility affecting input prices, changing environmental priorities or the need to improve long-term soil resilience. Growers need practical nutrition strategies that deliver measurable results, and I’m looking forward to helping our teams continue to provide exactly that.”
