Mike Forshaw has been with ProCam for nearly 20 years working his way up from technical sales to his current position of regional director for our entire Northern region.
“ProCam is very much a ‘frontline’ business and there’s a strong ethos of senior management understanding the role of the agronomist – because many have been there themselves – and offering genuine support to help them achieve their personal goals and ambitions,” he says. “So many of our key people started out as agronomists that you can see this is much more than just words – it’s very much part of the fabric of the business’s thinking.”
ProCam is very much geared towards supporting the agronomist in the field and that’s evidenced in the shape of ProCam 4Cast and the company’s emphasis on technical development. It’s also particularly evident when helping a new agronomist transition over to the business, he believes “Whether it’s allowing new recruits to work with more experienced individuals to support their existing portfolio of customers or helping them build a strong customer base, we do all we can to help them succeed.”
Another thing that stands out is the company’s inclusive management structure so everybody feels they have a role in decision making, Mike Forshaw believes. “Despite our growth we’ve managed to keep the culture of a forward thinking, customer-driven business and put most of our effort into delivering customer results rather than getting too tangled up with internal issues.”
