Steve is responsible for the recruitment and development of our trainee agronomists as well as for the ongoing coaching and professional learning of our entire agronomy team. A career agronomist, Steve worked in senior positions within manufacturing and distribution before joining ProCam in 2006.
“Involvement in training the next generation of agronomists was the natural progression and a means for me to share my experience of a career that has been so rewarding in many ways for me,” he explains. “As an employee of ProCam you are thought of as an individual and an important asset, so we provide all the support, resources and training you need to service our all-important farmer customers in as professional a manner as possible. “We’ve got great career development opportunities too, so you can be so much more than just a good agronomist at ProCam.”
ProCam customers are also treated as individuals and not just accounts with this being a major reason behind the company’s success, Steve adds. “Since we began in 1979 ProCam has been customer-driven, innovative and set the standards in our industry which gives us a great foundation for the future. We will continue to innovate and introduce new techniques and technologies combined with the principles of good agronomy and husbandry.”
Outside of ProCam, Steve is a very keen gardener and allotmenteer who also enjoys travelling, following most major sports and has an enduring passion for music – especially when it’s live.
